When the Canadian hardcore punk band Fucked Up released their their epic punk rock opera album, David Comes To Life, the Russian outpost of Vice sponsored a live staging of it in Moscow.

It’s not often (or maybe just not often enough) that you get a project that allows you to swear and typeset in cyrillic. Inspired by Soviet propaganda, the posters feature lead singer, Damian Abraham, shirtless and bloodied as well multiple themes from the album’s story hidden in the art.

The event was a huge success and the poster, so I heard via our Russian operative, was a hit with the band. It was even featured in Communication Arts later that year. Fuck, yeah.
